A Fortnite competition will take place at GamerFest Limerick 2019 on each day of the festival. Visitors only need to attend one day of the festival to be eligible for the competition.
Competition Rules
VIP Registrations for the Fortnite competiton open at 10.00am at the Fortnite Registration Desk.
General Admission Registrations for the Fortnite competition open at 11.30am at the Fortnite Registration Desk. Please note only a limited number of places are available for General Admission ticket holders and will be available on a first come, first served basis.
Registered players will be added to groups of 10. Please monitor the information board at the Fortnite Area to see when your group is due to play. When your group is called you may join the queue. Please don’t join the queue before your group is called.
Visitors may only register for the competition once per day.
The organisers cannot be responsible for Fortnite lag during gameplay which is beyond it’s control. Any games affected by lag will not be replayed.
The organisers cannot be responsible for software updates scheduled by the game’s publisher, Epic Games, which may interrupt gameplay, or indeed cause the organisers to suspend or abandon the competition altogether.
The Fortnite competition can be played on PS4 or Xbox One only.
Players will only use accounts provide by the organisers.
The competition format is Solo.
Players are limited to 2 minutes prior to the start of the game for pregame set up.
Any intentional ending of the game will result in disqualification.
Bush camping, or other forms of wasting time within the game are not permitted.
The competition ends at 2pm on each day. Freeplay will then be available to players until the festival closes.
Prizes
Prizes are only awarded for winning a Battle Royale. Prizes include gaming merchandise and equipment and are at the discretion of organisers.
Conduct & Behaviour
Players must conduct themselves in a reasonable manner, showing appropriate respect to the organisers and to other Players. All players are expected to adhere to the standards of good sportsmanship at all times.
Damage and/or abuse to game consoles, controllers, or any tournament equipment is prohibited. Any player causing damage of any kind will be liable for any costs incurred to the organisers as a result and subject to ejection from the festival.
The competition organisers reserve the right to add to, or amend these rules at any time.
Any player not respecting an organisers decision will risk being disqualified from the tournament, or even removed from the event.
